Ep. 10 - Special Agent Erin Dean

Former USFWS Special Agent Erin Dean spent 29 years in service with the USFWS Office of Law Enforcement. As a wildlife inspector, she pioneered the development of the wildlife K9 detection program and became the Service's first K9 detection handler. As a special agent, she investigated sophisticated trafficking networks that combined wildlife, humans, and drugs. As the supervisor overseeing all operations in Southern California, she spearheaded the establishment of the Live Wildlife Confiscation Network, which has since been rolled out nationwide in collaboration with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

Ep. 11 - Special Agent Sean Mann

Former USFWS Special Agent Sean Mann connects in to the studio to talk about an eagle poaching in progress call that led to the apprehension of a prolific eagle poacher known to travel the Native American pow-wow circuit to sell illegally taken feathers to unknowing members of Native American tribes. The poacher, who always falsely claimed to be a member of various tribes in the US, eventually turned fugitive and your podcast host, Ed Newcomer, assisted Sean in finding him and with the final apprehension in Southern California.
